This Shipping Policy applies to physical items purchased through BookYork.com (the “Site”), operated by Book York Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”).

1) Dispatch times

We aim to dispatch in-stock physical orders within 1 to 3 working days. During busy periods, dispatch may take longer. If a significant delay is expected, we will contact you.

2) Delivery times

Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout where available. Delivery times are estimates and can be affected by postal networks, weather, peak seasons, or other events outside our control.

3) Delivery charges

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and depend on destination, item size/weight, and delivery method.

4) UK delivery

UK deliveries are typically sent via a tracked or standard service depending on the option selected at checkout.

5) International delivery

If we offer international shipping, the following apply:

  • International delivery times vary by destination.
  • Customs duties, import taxes, and handling fees may be charged by the destination country and are the customer’s responsibility.

6) Address accuracy

Please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout. If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by you, we may charge additional postage to resend the item.

7) Lost, missing, or delayed parcels

If your order has not arrived within a reasonable time after dispatch, contact us at info@bookyork.com with your order number. We will work with the carrier to investigate and, where appropriate, offer a replacement or refund in line with your statutory rights.

8) Damaged items

If your item arrives damaged, contact us promptly and include photos of the packaging and item so we can help resolve the issue.

9) Digital items and services

Digital products and services (including advertising/post-slot services) are not shipped and are delivered electronically or performed as described on the product/service page.
