How do I access the York Guide?

Who owns the copyright?
Unless stated otherwise, the York Guide content (including the structure, writing, design and layout) is copyrighted and owned by Book York Ltd.
Copyright exists automatically. You do not need our written permission to read and use the guide for your own trip planning, but you do need permission for reuse beyond the limited licence below.
What am I allowed to do with the free York Guide?
You are welcome to:

You are not allowed to:

- Scrape the guide, mirror it on another website, or post it in full on social media, forums, groups, or file-sharing sites.
- Remove or obscure copyright notices, branding, or source attribution.
Can I copy sections into my blog, website, or business page?
No, not without written permission. Even though the York Guide is free to read, copying substantial parts (or the overall structure and curation) into another site, blog, leaflet, newsletter, or business listing is not permitted.

Can I use screenshots or images of the York Guide?

Do you update the York Guide?
Yes. The guide shows its last updated date (for example, “Updated February 2026”). York changes over time, so we may revise recommendations, links and practical details.
What if a link, venue, opening time, or recommendation changes?
We do our best to keep the guide current, but opening times, prices, menus, access arrangements and event dates can change without notice. Always check official sources before you travel.

What happens if someone copies or re-uploads the York Guide?
